The Law of Attraction and Magic

Many people attempt to apply the Law of Attraction, fail, and become discouraged. They wonder whether this universal principle is just a scam! Failure at applying LOA stems from some fundamental misunderstandings.

For example, when people first encounter LOA, they think it's magic.
"All I have to do is think a bunch of thoughts and I can have what I want!"
Well, that does not usually work, does it?

The magical component of LOA is the invisible, subtle energy component. Thought is invisible to the human senses, and so are the thoughts that interact with each other vibrationally. When your thoughts match with others, there is an alignment and a coming together; a meeting of the minds, as it were. If these thought forms are powerful enough, and if there is enough openness and reception, there is an impingement upon the conscious awareness of the beings involved. This is how coincidences and happy accidents occur.

What happens if you want a Porsche but don't have the money for it? We have talked about this before. What if you could think some thoughts and have a Porsche appear before you? Well, do you understand electronic fuel injection? Do you know about camshafts and carburetors? Do you comprehend differentials? Do you know what materials go into tires? Do you know about Bezier curves? All of these and a thousand others go into the making of a Porsche. If you are ignorant of these things, then the magic Porsche you conjure from your thoughts will look like a child's scribble. That is why teachers always tell you to have an EXACT idea of what you want! Garbage out, garbage in!

Fortunately, someone has already figured out how to make a Porsche. But your degree of alignment to "Porsche" determines whether or not you can have one. The fellow who wants a Porsche, but doesn't have one, is usually more aligned to a used Pinto! The gal who owns a Rolls and wants a Porsche is more aligned to a Porsche!

"No, stupid, the gal who has a Rolls is more aligned to MONEY." Well of course she is! But if you ask yourself, "What is a Porsche vibrationally?" the answer for almost everyone is, "the cost of a Porsche." That's because you aren't knowledgeable enough about Porsche's to be able to build one from scratch. But I promise you that if you WERE that knowledgeable about Porsche's, you would most likely already have one! This is a practical example of what vibrational alignment IS.

Vibrational alignment is not "I want a Porsche," for here you are at Pole A looking over at Pole B. But that's where almost everybody who applies LOA is at. Vibrational alignment is when you ARE already at Pole B, the Porsche. This does NOT mean that you have to already have a Porsche in order to be vibrationally aligned with a Porsche. But it DOES mean that you first have to BE somebody with a Porsche before you can HAVE one!

"Oh for goodness sake," you say, "That is total crap. I've heard so much of that garbage that I'm sick of it. The Law of Attraction is just a marketing gimmick. If you want a Porsche, you better get two more jobs, and save your money."

Well, that is definitely one way to align with a Porsche! But it's a long, hard road, that.

If you were serious about Porsche's and didn't have any money, you probably would already have pictures of them on your wall, or in your scrap book. You probably would have already studied up on automobiles and know a lot about them. You probably would have some Porsche magazines lying around. The degree of your alignment with anything is determined by how you feel about it. If you ask the guy who has lots of Porsche posters about Porsche's, he might tell you "Yeah I really love Porsche's, but they're way too expensive for me. But I sure like to look at them!"

The guy who was more aligned to Porsche's might be in a Porsche car group. Or, he might be working at a Porsche dealer. The more vibrationally aligned a person becomes with Porsche's, the physically closer he gets to them. A mental image is as far as some people get. Closer still is a poster or a magazine. Closer still is someone in the car group who goes to a Porsche auto show. Closer still is the guy who works at the dealer and may be able to take one out for a spin. Closer still is the gal who MAKES UP HER MIND to ACTUALLY GET A PORSCHE FOR HER OWN, and begins to devise ways of doing that.

Vibrational alignment generates inspiration. If you aren't inspired, you probably aren't aligned.

The great thing about LOA is that it will help you. The stronger is your desire and intent, the more inspired you get, and the more windows of opportunity open for you. The more happy accidents occur in your life.

(Dead-heads and nay-sayers will say, "If you believe in LOA you are just delusional." These are people who have already given up on their dreams, and want company in their muck. Don't listen to them!)

The gal with lots of money may want a Porsche, but decides she doesn't have to have one. Has that ever happened to you? If you know you want something and can get it at any time, you often don't even feel the need to have it! That is vibrational alignment: a complete knowing that you and it are one and the same, even though there is not physical possession. That's why people make scrap books and diaries and mind - movies: to make the thing so real that they become it.

A psychological study demonstrated this several years ago . A bunch of people were put into cubicles with loud music, and were asked to do math problems. Half of the people had buttons on their desks that could shut off the music, and half didn't. Those who had the buttons often didn't use them, because they knew they could at any time. "Well that's no good," you say, "Because the physical representation is already present." Yes, but the point is that if you desire something, you DON'T have it and you want to get it. The way you GET it is through vibrational alignment. KNOWING, or CERTAINTY, is vibrational alignment. To the universe, "I have it" is the same vibration, whether you have manifested anything or not! The greater is your knowing, the stronger is your signal and the more you rendezvous with the people and resources you need.

When talking about LOA, the question is, "How aligned are you with what you want?" Are you the guy with a mental image? Or the gal with a firm intention, and a plan? That lady has an image, knows what she wants, and has made up her mind. And LOA will work with her. That's how it has always been and always will be, folks. LOA has always been in operation, since Day One. It's just that the vibration of humanity is finally rising high enough to become aware of it. More and more people are asking and believing in themselves and in the manifestation of their dreams. And that process is raising the vibration of humanity, and the planet. That's what vibrational alignment is all about. That's what the Law of Attraction is all about.

You just have to get beyond the stupid idea that because what you want has not yet manifested, that your certainty is somehow delusional. The universe doesn't operate that way. The universe requires you to be certain BEFORE the manifestation. Being comes before doing and having.

For example, I was having trouble designing a web page one day. Suddenly, at dinner, I figured it out. I knew I could go in at any time and write the code, and it was such a good feeling that I savored it for a couple of hours. I went for a walk, then read a book. Vibrational alignment yields a feeling of certainty!

Ask yourself this: Can you be certain of something, even if you don't yet have it? Do you enjoy the creative process? Can you still feel good about what you are doing and where you are going, even if you can't see every step along the way?

Joy comes from creating your own personal path towards the goal.

What you want materializes to the degree that your thoughts have evolved toward the vibration of it. That evolution of thought is called the creative process, and usually requires getting your hands dirty. But that's the fun of LOA! People who fail at LOA often want a magic bullet. They're looking for "instant abundance." Somebody forgot to tell them that the fun is in the getting!
